Innovative Law. Thoughtful Advocacy. Relentless Excellence.
Stephanie is an accomplished appellate attorney with a proven track record of success in both state and federal courts. She has argued and won cases before the Michigan Supreme Court, the Michigan Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit—securing precedent-setting decisions along the way.
With deep experience as both an appellate and trial attorney, Stephanie brings a strategic, research-driven approach to every case. After beginning her career in plaintiff-side medical malpractice and personal injury, Stephanie found her passion in appellate advocacy. Drawn to the intellectual rigor and the opportunity to shape the law, she now focuses exclusively on appeals. Though appellate work is often seen as solitary, Stephanie thrives on collaboration—bringing together legal minds and diverse perspectives to prepare powerful, well-reasoned arguments that make a lasting impact.
Stephanie is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. A member of the Michigan Bar Association, she also contributes to the legal community through her work with the Michigan Association for Justice, Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and the State Bar of Michigan’s Appellate Practice Section Council.
In recognition of her excellence, Stephanie was also invited to join the Advocates Guild of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society, an honor extended only to those who have argued before the state’s highest court. She was also named to the 2023 Class of Influential Women of Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly (MILW).
Stephanie earned her B.S. in Business Management from Davenport University in 2001, and her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2004, graduating summa cum laude.
Outside of her legal work, Stephanie is a dedicated mom of two who enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and advocates for animal welfare causes through volunteer work.
